1.   Google Sheets Add-On

       Install "Tally Reports" add-on from Google workspace.

 Tally Port Http Listener

Tally odbc port will work for odbc connectivity only, Tally Port Http Listener will convert your odbc to http service port, so that you can connect Tally data on google sheets.

Note: It works on static / public ip with port forwarding on router, check your firewall & other security / anti virus to keep open port, i.e. port open on firewa inbound / outbound.

Port to Listen : Port which will be linked with Google sheets.

Tally ODBC Port : Tally ODBC Port from Tally application will be redirected with Port listener.

 

 

2.   Import Vouchers in Tally

     Import multi vouchers from google sheets to Tally,

     A. Import menu has 2 sub menus, i.e.
    i. Get to Know Column Details

             It will update column heading, i.e. Voucher Type, Date, Voucher Number, Ledger & Amount etc.

             (Note: Dont try to change column position)

          ii. Import Vouchers in Tally

              Once you filled data in google sheets, Click on 'Import Vouchers in Tally' to start importing vouchers in Tally.

3.   Reports on Google Sheets

           Update value in row 2 as per below instructions,

         i.                     IP : Your local or Internet public ip.

        ii.                   ODBC Port: If local network/ system, then use port listener of Tally Port Listener application, for internet public ip use Tally ODBC port, which has been setup of port forward on router.

       iii.                 Company Name: Tally existing company name.

       iv.                 Period: From & To date for required report. 
        (Check Google Date Format, i.e. DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY)

       v.                   Ledger Name: Ledger Name for getting ledger statement or outstanding report.

       *** Note: 
i. Don't use space or special characters in sheet name.

           ii. Don't use extra space or special characters in Ledger name in TallyPrime, it will break records import.

    Steps : 
    File Menu > Import > Upload file (i.e. upload download GSTR2A excel file from GST portal)

    Click > GSTR2A Reconciliation

 

***Instruction: Don't use space or special characters in sheet name.
